Canine Musculoskeletal Treatment.
The treatment covers a full body musculoskeletal, conformational and postural assessment. The assessment is carried out static, dynamic and where appropriate during particular exercise regimes. Georgina uses a number of modalities in her treatments to achieve the aim of restoring optimal function, prevention of loss of function and improving performance in your dogs. Georgina achieves this with her extensive understanding of therapy, rehabilitation, performance and applied canine exercise physiology. Georgina uses a clinical reasoned approach to all her treatments. Modalities used by Georgina (but not exhaustive) are manual manipulation, mobilisation, massage, controlled exercise, myofascial release, electrotherapy, microcurrent therapy and light therapy.

Therapeutic Ultrasound Treatment.
Therapeutic Ultrasound is sound waves. Used at low levels pulsed mode it stimulates cell activity (cellular up-regulation) which stimulates tissue repair. Optimal absorption happens in dense collagen based tissues (ligaments / tendons / fascia / joint capsules and established scar tissue) and therefore an effective treatment for ligament and tendon injuries.
Trained professionals know which MHz to use for what injuries and how many treatments would be required.
Treatment is pain free, no need for sedation and each session last approximately 20mins.

Dog Owner – Learn to Massage Workshops.
Georgina provides group or 121 massage workshops which teaches owners how they can safely and effectively massage their own dogs. The benefits of the owner being able to massage their own dog means they could detect musculoskeletal issues early, assist in maintaining their dog’s performance and relieve minor tensions within the musculoskeletal system. Each participant is taught a full massage routine, functional anatomy and provided with a manual covering the workshop content. Participants are also provided with an attendance certificate and can be used as CPD for other therapist / professionals.

Video Consultation and Personalised Canine owner Programme.
I want to continue to provide support and advice to clients during these difficult times via virtual consultation. There are lots of exercises and plans which are safe and effective for dog owners to complete at home.
I want to empower owners during this time to have a positive impact on their dogs musculoskeletal health.
It just needs you, your dog, and a way to send and receive video instructions.
How it works:
Contact Georgina to state you would like to complete a video consultation. Georgina will discuss with you what videos she would like to be sent, full analysis will take place of the videos and then a personalised plan will be provided with safe at home exercises to do with your horse. Full instructions will be given, with video demonstrations. Support from Georgina will be continued throughout the lockdown period and not simply a one off consultation.
Prices:
£25 - For existing clients of Georgina’s.
£30 - For new clients.
All payments are to be made in advance via BACS. Georgina will send BACS instructions.
Legal Notice - This service is only provided for sound animals and is not considered as a clinical assessment or treatment by Georgina. Clinical interventions can be provided with animals under current veterinary care but this will only be done under full consultation with the animals vet, who must have carried out a full clinical examination with the animal.
